Somerset Photo Safaris

Somerset is famous for its wetland habitats, but it also features a varied coastline, upland moorland fringed by Beech woodland and rich farmland

Few counties boast such a wide range of habitats, which makes Somerset a great place to find and photograph Birds. Depending on the season, we take you to some of the hidden corners, looking for waders and coastal birds, unusual Raptors and wetland specialists. Along with the endemic specialities such as Great White Egret and Bittern there are frequently interesting migrants to be seen, on the coasts and hills.

Birdwatching, Photography and more

Finding and Photographing Birds is the primary objective of our trips, but Nick has been a photographer for 30 years and a trainer for Canon, Adobe, Phase One and others for 20, so he understands the latest mirrorless cameras and their complex autofocus settings. He can help you to setup your equipment, choosing the right lenses and camera settings to get the pictures you want.

Capturing the photograph is only a small part of digital photography and most pictures don't look their best straight out of the camera. This is not about changing the picture, but making it look good on screen, or on print, for your friends and families to admire.

Nick offers separate training on Lightroom, Photoshop and Capture One. Ask if you want to know more.
