We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all photography instruction. Sure, there are plenty of great resources out there and, if you have the time to weed through it all, you can usually find good information. But in today’s hectic world, most of us don’t have the time or inclination to spend valuable photography time sitting in front of a computer screen. And even if we do have the time, it still isn’t the best way to learn. Human beings learn best by doing, and we think that the most effective and lasting learning comes from working one-on-one with an expert who has taken the time to understand the specific needs of each and every learner.

We further believe that the very best learning comes from an experience built on six fundamental principles. Your instructor will make sure that your sessions are:

Wherever you may be in your photography journey, we can help you learn the basics, expand your creativity, master new techniques, get the most from your equipment, and, above all, take better pictures. You decide what you want to learn and the pace at which you want to progress, we do the rest. You decide where and when you want to learn and we come to you. Your experience is 100% customized to your needs - so you don’t waste time or money on instruction you don’t need.

Except for our workshops and destination events, almost all of our sessions are one-on-one, with every session designed around your specific needs. On occasion, we are asked to teach couples, small groups of friends, or family members. We are happy to accommodate such requests.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility. We are happy to work with your schedule and can schedule sessions at the time and place of your choosing. And that includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or even holidays. Let us know what you need and we will make it happen.
