The Scottish Highlands are a paradise for wildlife and landscape photography, offering breathtaking scenery and the chance to photograph some of the UK’s most iconic birds and mammals throughout the seasons. Whether you're capturing the vibrant summer seabirds along the coast or the elusive Mountain Hares in the snowy hills, every moment in the Highlands is a photographer’s dream.
Spot Red Squirrels, Ospreys (from April onwards), and Puffins, alongside a variety of other seabirds along the dramatic cliffs. Year-Round Predators: Both Golden Eagles and White-tailed Eagles soar over the rugged landscapes, offering breathtaking photography opportunities. Mountain & Coastal Wildlife: We venture into the hills to track and photograph Mountain Hares and Ptarmigan, while the lochs and coastal waters host Divers, a variety of Sea Ducks, and regularly, Otters.
The landscapes transform with golden light, misty mornings, and snow-capped peaks—perfect for moody landscape photography and encounters with Red Deer in their seasonal rut.
We travel across some of the most stunning locations in the Scottish Highlands, ensuring our guests have the chance to photograph both the wildlife and the breathtaking scenery that makes this region so unique. Unlike other areas of the UK, the Highlands offer dramatic mountain vistas, vast moorlands, wild coastlines, and pristine lochs, creating picture-perfect compositions at every turn.
Our small group sizes (3-5 people max) allow for a relaxed pace, ensuring everyone can fully appreciate the experience, scenery, and wildlife while capturing incredible images. With expert guidance, there’s plenty of time to focus on technique, composition, and creativity.
