The Importance of Testimonials
Asking for testimonials from my guests can be the hardest thing, yet they are critical for new bookings.
I always ask for testimonials to be sent by email, keeping them safely archived in case potential clients want to see the original; authenticity is essential.
Here are a selection of recent ones, from holidays, workshops and 1:1 days.

An Impressive Journey Full of Nature, Knowledge, and Warmth
Five complete strangers set off together for a week in the Oulu region of Finland, in search of snowy landscapes and unique bird species. What we experienced can be summed up in one word: impressive.
Nick made sure I felt at home right away — even as a hobby photographer among a team full of experts. His knowledge, dedication, and the relaxed atmosphere he created truly made this trip special.
In the evenings, over delicious meals, we received valuable information and tips that we could immediately put into practice the next day. Being able to photograph the golden eagle, eagle owl, Siberian jay, and many other stunning birds was a dream come true for me.
Thank you, Nick, for such an educational, warm, and unforgettable journey — shared with people who were incredibly kind and caring from day one. An experience I will always treasure. See you on our next adventure together !!

Dear Nick
I’ve been meaning to write to you for a month. Apologies.
I wanted to say that I had an excellent time in Finland. The entire experience was great. Particular highlights, aside from the amazing animals, included the evening chats about Lightroom etc. Compared to other trips I have done, one of the striking differences was that on this trip, you went to some trouble to make it about us rather than you. That’s not always been the case in previous trips.
One suggestion that you might want to think about: clearly, you have huge experience of the different cameras. A chat one evening about the strengths and weaknesses of the cameras being used might have been interesting. I doubt it would persuade any of us to change our cameras, but it might help us concentrate on our strengths and mitigate any weaknesses.
But that’s only a minor suggestion. Thank you for a super trip, and I hope to book with you next year for wolves and bears.

This was my first solo trip abroad, 5 photographers brought together by the passion of wildlife. We all have doubts, but from the first contact by phone to Nick, the anxieties disappeared.
The Villa was so warm and cosy, with a "hang out" area for everyone to share thoughts and ideas, along with laughter. Laurie ( our Finnature guide) and Nick both making everyone feel so relaxed and comfortable.
With nature there are never any guarantees, so in essence everything is a bonus, Nick / Laurie were on hand to give out expert advice, from settings, to how to set shots up, also trying variations for getting different effects.
The cooked breakfast / dinners, to the locations used, you could not ask for anything more, it was perfect.
So if like me, you're thinking of doing one of these trips but not sure, speak to Nick, you will then enjoy it as much as I did.

Finland promised Bears & Wolves it delivered so much more, golden eagles , sparrowhawks & stunning scenery, northern lights, good food & good company.
A fabulous trip with Nick always ready to help get the best shots. A photographers dream.
Would do it all again tomorrow.
RS. Lightroom 1:1 November 2023
Being fairly new to photography I knew only a little about editing so we went through what to do from beginning to the end.
We decided that I was on the wrong [Lightroom] plan, so Nick helped getting me changed over to the correct plan and sorting it all out. Now that did take a bit of time and things did not go according to plan especially after I got home, but Nick was there on the end of the phone, helping me over a period of a few days getting things sorted.
So would I recommend a day out or workshop with Nick? The answer is yes, 110% yes. With the few problems we had with the lightroom change over, Nick went that extra mile and some to make sure that I was all sorted and happy, what more could you ask?

We very much appreciate all your hard work and wealth of knowledge. It was hugely enjoyable and we also feel as though we have learnt an incredible amount.
We’re so pleased with the images we looked at this afternoon and feel confident with post processing and using the presets. I was amazed by the results I achieved with the OM1 and J is still buzzing at the capture of the murmuration!
We really can’t thank you enough and hope that we will soon meet up again.
